Share
As you know, this week is Halloween, and at Sabor de Té, we wanted to bring you a terrifyingly irresistible article. We're going to show you how to prepare some delicious candies with a hint of tea. If you're organizing a dinner with friends, you'll be the star with this super recipe; there'll surely be nothing left before dessert. Pay attention to how to make them:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup coconut butter
- 2 cups maple syrup
- 1/3 cup cream from a can of coconut milk
- 2 teaspoons Matcha green tea
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 teaspoons coconut oil
Preparation:
This recipe is super easy. You won't use thermometers, cooking time, or boil anything at all. Perhaps the slightly more complicated part is waiting for the candies to harden so you can enjoy them.
- Remove the coconut butter from its container. A tip is to add water to a small saucepan and place the butter in its container in a double boiler to soften it.
- Once the butter has a smooth consistency, try to remove it from the container, measure 1 cup, and melt that amount in a pan over low heat.
- Add 1/3 cup of coconut milk cream, using the thick layer that accumulates at the top of the can, and continue stirring. Add the 3 teaspoons of coconut oil until everything is well melted.
- Add the maple syrup, vanilla extract, and Matcha green tea to the mixture. Once added, stir slowly again over low heat until the ingredients melt and a homogeneous mixture is formed.
- Pour the mixture into a mold covered with parchment paper; a 15x20 cm mold is advisable.
- For the mixture to harden, it's best to let it rest at room temperature for several hours, but if you made it last minute and are in a hurry, you can put it in the fridge to harden faster.
- Once the mixture is solid, you can start cutting it into small pieces to assemble your delicious candies. You don't need to keep them in the fridge unless the weather is very hot and you want to prevent them from melting.
Now it's time to enjoy this delicious recipe on the most terrifying night of the year with your loved ones.
