Macarones de Té Matcha

Matcha Tea Macarons

For a few weeks now, we've been sharing recipes here to surprise your guests this holiday season. And now we're bringing you one more. This time, we're going to tell you how to prepare matcha tea macarons. Do you want to discover how to make them? Keep reading.

Ingredients:

  • 220g powdered sugar
  • White chocolate ganache to taste
  • 110g almond flour
  • 30g sugar
  • 110g egg whites (after sitting for 8 hours at room temperature, covered with plastic wrap)
  • 8g loose matcha green tea

Preparation:

1. Mix the almond flour with the powdered sugar.

2. Beat the egg whites until stiff (after letting them rest for 8 hours at room temperature) and also add the matcha tea and sugar.

3. Mix carefully.

4. Using a pastry bag, pipe out the macarons, trying to make them all the same size. Place them on a baking sheet and let them rest for 2 hours until the top layer is dry and smooth.

5. Preheat the oven to 150ºC and bake the macarons for approximately 11 minutes.

6. Take the macarons out of the oven and let them cool without removing them from the mat.

7. Once they are cool, fill them with ganache and place a top shell on, pressing very gently.

Once you have all this ready, you can decorate and package them however you like, although during this time of year, we recommend making them pretty for Christmas. Now it's truly all ready to enjoy.
